A Tokyo a Brouwerij St. Bernardus főzdétől ajándékként érkezett hozzám kedves kislányomtól, korábban búzasört még nem kóstoltam tőlük...
A St.Bernardus Tokyo 2012-ig datálódik vissza, a főzde akkoriban egy egyszeri sört dobott piacra a japán főváros első St.Bernardus témájú kávézójának megnyitása alkalmából. Nyolc évvel később űjra elkézdték gyártani ezt a sört, bár most egy új recepttel a főzdétől fellelhető információkm szerint...
A dobozhoz tartozó grafikát a fiatal belga illusztrátor, Jonas Devacht készítette, amely a japán éjszakai élet lenyomatát ábrázolja a Kanda negyed ikonikus utcáin, ahol a „Brasserie St.Bernardus” is található.
A St.Bernardus Tokyo egy szűretlen sör, amelyet nagy mennyiségű búzával főznek, és evalahol egy witbier sör és egy saison között helyezkedik el ízvilágilag. Nekem leginkább gyümölgyös íze volt (tán szilva?). A habja lenyűgözö volt.

Tokyo came to me as a gift from Brouwerij St. Bernardus, a brewery that I had never tried before, as I had never tried a wheat beer from them before...
St.Bernardus Tokyo dates back to 2012, when the brewery launched a one-off beer to celebrate the opening of the first St.Bernardus-themed café in the Japanese capital. Eight years later, they have started producing this beer again, although now with a new recipe, according to information from the brewery...
The artwork for the box was created by young Belgian illustrator Jonas Devacht, depicting the imprint of Japanese nightlife on the iconic streets of the Kanda district, where the “Brasserie St.Bernardus” is also located.
St.Bernardus Tokyo is an unfiltered beer brewed with a large amount of wheat, and is somewhere between a witbier and a saison in terms of taste. For me, it tasted mostly fruity (perhaps plum?). The foam was impressive.
